Lazy days at Crystal Lake

During the middle weeks of July, the kids had swimming lessons at Crystal Lake Sandy Beach. That meant that every Mon-Thurs we all had to be there from 9am to Noon, and sometimes stayed longer so the kids could swim outside of their lessons. It's beautiful and we love it - but just so it's clear, the 'beach' is made of dirt, not sand :) Fun Fun!!!! Becca loves the dirt
Kathryn and I got a lot of reading done. She took the American Red Cross Level 5 lessons this year and got to swim around the perimeter of the swimming area everyday.
Becca and Garrett helped some other kids build this dirt castle.

Same castle.

Kathryn after her lesson - it was a mild July so we were pretty chilly out there most days. Didn't slow the kids down in the water much though.

Garrett, our family comedian, told Becca to stand still and then drew a man-eating fish around her. He thinks he's so funny!! Fortunately, so does Becca.

Heather - we got to spend a couple of afternoons here with the cousins.

Sadie and Alaina look at the frogs they caught. There are always friends at the beach from school or church. We love playing with the Sanvilles, Phillips, Gerlachs, and others there.
