Sweedish Girl Karyna Ruth Lundgren

Kat had an immigration day at school. The sixth graders all picked a country to come from, a name, and preteneded that their school was Ellis Island for the day. They have been studying immigrants and early Americans in Social Studies. They had a field trip to Ellis Island last month too so they saw first hand the place and some of the medical tests, belongings, photos, etc. Kathryn even found a name on the memorial from our family - a Tautkus. She chose to come from Sweeden and used the name Karyna Ruth Lundgren - Ruth Lundgren was my Grandmother's name, Karyna started with a K and was on the Sweedish name list. It was very fun for her and made us all a little more curious about our ancestors.
